About The Museum
On the banks of the River Shannon in County Limerick, Ireland, the Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum tells the story of a time when aviators and glamorous passengers crossed the Atlantic by air for the first time. From 1937 to 1945, Foynes was the hub of transatlantic aviation, welcoming flying boats, Hollywood stars, political leaders, and adventurers from around the world.
